Project overview:
The project involved the duplication of Maroochydore Road through Kunda Park to four lanes, included intersection upgrades and the realignment of numerous local roads. The project was constructed under heavy traffic and in challenging geotechnical conditions with a large unstable cut batter with bored pile retaining wall. This section is part of the larger upgrade project aiming to improve safety, flood immunity, and reduce congestion on Maroochydore Road.
Role on project:
The Driftwood Consulting team members were subcontracted to Connell Wagner who was appointed as the Superintendent. The CA Team was responsible for the management of the project through the construction phase with a focus on quality, traffic, safety, environmental, and community management.
